Assalamualaikum..
Morning:
Doing nothing. (Literally). There are only 2 cases in operation theatre (OT) today & lots of students, we are divided into 2 groups. First 5 persons were allowed to enter the OT. The other 6 persons were "wandering" around the surgery wards looking for patient.
We need to clerk a patient for any acute surgical case & focus for the fluid intake or imbalance or something. I tried to find an obvious patient with IV drip but some of them doesn't have any record for the fluid intake & output. We need the case as for tutorials about Fluid & Electrolyte Balance. ASAP.
Afternoon/Evening:
Slow progress at first. However, we are given the change to do *dressing procedure by ourselves. A little bit of theory about how to examine an ulcer. 1 of my friend did the examination; Inspection, & Palpation. He also did the dressing.
For the other group for OT tomorrow, we will watch a surgery either for undescended testis or indirect inguinal hernia. I wish to see both of the cases. InsyaAllah..
*Dressing: it's a procedure of aseptic cleaning & bandaging the wound.
Remark: My friends that went into the OT this morning watched an IND procedure. It's stands for Incision & Drainage. I'm not sure which leg but it extends a little above from ankle up to knee.
Night:
It's only for my extra time. Once again tried to find & clerk a patient but ended up just roaming around & help friends with their patient.
p/s: thanks to K. Syira for the souvenirs from Makkah & my juniors for making me laugh. HAHA.
p/s 2: Please watch Pee Mak. A Thailand horror comedy film.
